What is a Sleep Disorder?

Sleep problems, including snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, sleep deprivation, and restless legs syndrome, are common. Feeling exhausted after waking during the day

Waking with: a shortness of breath, headache, nausea, nasal congestion, or dry throat

The need to take medication or supplements to fall asleep

Light, fragmented sleep

Uncomfortable sensation of the legs while sleeping

Feeling paralyzed or unable to move upon waking

Seeing or hearing things while drowsy and not fully asleep

If you are a physician and think your patient has the following disorders, please refer to a sleep specialist:

Insomnia
